Hailing from the Kootenays, I have lived and worked in the
Vernon area for 25 years. Previous work experience in the
administrative field provides me with a solid foundation on

My husband and I are raising two daughters and experience

snowmobiling, golfing and especially boating on Okanagan
Lake. I have been an active member of the Vernon Curling

Lavington.

A career of helping others has naturally led me to the real
estate industry. I began my professional life as a nurse and
naturally migrated to the administrative aspects of the
profession in the medical office. After serving the public
as patients in medical offices, I looked for more challenge,
scope and responsibility and found it in the IT industry.
Here I was able to take on a more extensive office
management and accounting role.
Obtaining my Real Estate license and becoming a realtor
allowed me to take the wealth of customer assistance and
business experience I have accumulated and apply it in a

In 2004 I witnessed the amazing emotional and financial
support my granddaughter, and her family, received when she
required a heart transplant shortly after birth. I believe

I have been a competitive racewalker for 12 years, as
well as an avid swimmer and have recently fallen in love
with beautiful Sovereign Lake and cross country skiing.

Andy started a career in hairdressing
over 30 years ago, owned and operated two very successful
salons within that time and has been self-employed for 22
years. He has always loved working with people, and over the
years, developed life long friendships and mutual trust on a
customer/client basis. With ‘Developers’ for parents who
partnered in the development of residential neighborhoods
and shopping malls in Northern British Columbia, it was
natural for him to move from hairdressing to real estate.
His father Swiss, his mother Italian, retiring in their 30s,
both who speak 10 languages between them, opened his eyes,
at a very young age, to the world of business and
development.
He is privileged to be one of the owners of Macdonald
Realty and has joined his colleagues, under the guise of
Macdonald Realty, as one of the partners in the Global

and sound for his wife of 27 years, for her two bands Kath
and the Tom Kats and Kath ‘in blue’. They have two grown
children and six grandchildren and life in Vernon has been

Real is a professional engineer
and a professional forester and has considerable experience
in the real estate industry and property investments both
locally and internationally. He is a licensed Broker for
Strata Management Services, Real Estate Representative,
Property Manager and Strata Manager with the Real Estate
Council of British Columbia.
In May 2005 Real and 3 other partners purchased the
Macdonald Realty Vernon franchise and he currently acts as
the Managing Broker of the company and also manages day to day
operations for the Real Estate Office.
Originally from Northern Ontario, Real Rousseau is a
graduate of the University of New Brunswick, where he earned
a Bachelor of Science in Forest Engineering. For 10 years he
practiced as a stream crossing design engineer and
operations manager for an engineering consulting group in
Salmon Arm, BC after which he worked in both New Zealand and
Australia as a consulting engineer and a Chief Executive of
a fast growing forestry consulting and engineering business.
As CEO of a fast growing businesses with several offices in
three different country’s Real Rousseau became involved in
Real Estate investments and he has never looked back.
Kiley traveled to
many countries in high school which created the draw to go
abroad directly after graduation. She taught English to the
children of Thailand which reciprocated and educated her as
she traveled throughout Southeast Asia. She returned to
Canada to complete a Visual Arts Degree as well as an Early
Childhood Education Diploma. She is married and the mother
of three children aged 8, 7, and 1. She and her husband have
been investing in real estate for the past 10 years and now
own a beautiful home in Coldstream. After being in the
public service industry for over 15 years, she branched out
and created Treehouse Photography, a unique, one-of-a-kind
children’s photography business; she sold it, and the
business is still running successfully today by the new
owners. Kiley was raised in Vernon, loves Vernon, plans to
raise her family in Vernon and is looking forward to working

Born & raised in Australia, Kathy moved to Canada in
1994.

experience as she has been working in the administration

René has lived just north of Vernon for the past eighteen
years. In that time he has experienced many facets of
Okanagan life. He lived in nelson for two years during which
time he attended Selkirk Music College. There he obtaining
his diploma in Contemporary Music and Technology –
Performance Major. He had the privilege of gaining valuable
construction knowledge from his European trained Father; and
spent the past two years working in the lumber industry.
